New Chitose Airport

Take train from New Chitose Airport to Furano about 3 hours, fare per person one-way at ¥4390. Furano located in the center of Hokkaido. During winter, Furano turns into a popular downhill and cross country skiing resort.

Since we arrived late to catch the last bus from Furano Train Station to our guesthouse, we took taxi. Taxi fare for very short distance was ¥1230.

We stayed at Pension Ressha House, the only available accommodation available during my booking. Winter season is consider a peak season here. This guesthouse is 300 meters away from the Furano Ski Area. Cost 3 nights for twin room with shared toilet was ¥19,500. It was cheap but not good place to stay during winter season. The heater not so warm but still manageable. Maybe its too cold during our visit in January.
