Sydney is the state capital of New South Wales and the most populous city in Australia and Oceania. Located on Australia’s east coast, the metropolis surrounds the world’s largest natural harbour and sprawls.
We took flight from Launceston, TAS via Jetstar at affordable one-way fare. There are 3 airlines flying to Sydney, Jetstar, Qantas and Virgin Airlines. I would say, Jetstar offer the cheapest fare to almost cities in Australia. You can use skyscanner apps to compare
We Departed at 12:45noon and arrived at 2:20pm. Once we arrived Sydney, we catch train to our accommodation located at Sydney Central station. We stayed at Wake up! Sydney, opposite of this central station. Wake Up! Sydney is a backpackers style hostel and cheapest you can get in this prime location. I choose this place was because very near to public transport since we’re not rent a car.

Day 1 Sydney, NSW | 6th April 2012
Today we went to some of the attractions, Opera House and Sydney Harbour. It was sunset when we arrived at Sydney Harbour. Very nice watching sunset at Sydney Harbour, priceless. Sydney Harbour easily can be reach by train. Train ride from Sydney Central Station only takes about 12 min. You need to alight at Circular Quay Station.

Once arrived, all the attractions are walking distance. Must visit places are Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Museum of Contemporary Art Australia, The Rocks Market and Sydney boat tours. There’s a Whale Watching tours sail from this harbour.

We stayed there until night time just walking around to nearby attractions by foot. Then we took train back to our hostel and stay for a night.
Day 2 Sydney, NSW | 7th April 2012
Second day in Sydney, we took a bus to Bondi beach. Easily take line 333 bus from the bus stop nearest to you. Distance by bus is about 46 min.
Bondi beach famous with locals surfers. The wind quite strong during our visit. We could see surfers are enjoying their time. We sit at one of the cafe for lunch. We tried their fish & chips and fresh oysters. Well, Sydney is famous with their Sydney rock oyster. I’m kinda like it so much!. The size is small and easy to swallow.

Bondi beach is a must visit whenever you are in Sydney. The sand is clean and the views are beautiful. Many locals were on and about with surfing and swimming. Lifeguards were on duty.

Today, we revisit the Sydney Harbour again. We want to see what is like during the day time. Take some pictures of surrounding and the street.
We were also visit the Chinatown located in Dixon Street. From the Sydney central station, we just walk about 500 meter to the gate. It’s so much happening here. Many asian shops and restaurant can be seen here. We tried some dessert too.

Well that’s it our short trip to Sydney. Next time when I come again, I will try to visit different part of attraction.
